Always try to keep an eye on your pet’s urination habits.  Let us know if you notice any of the following:

Increased thirst or increased volume of urine produced.

Difficulty in passing urine, or straining/vocalising when having a wee.

Any discolouration such as blood or dark colours appearing.

If your pet is trying to pass urine and isn’t able to - then this is s true emergency and you MUST contact us straight away.
A Bichon Frise dog with a urinary problem...
Daisy is a twelve year old female Bichon Frise, who had recently been re-homed.  Her new owners brought her to us as they were concerned about her apparent lack of house-training as she was always passing urine in the house.  She was bright and alert, in good condition and was eating and drinking perfectly normally.

Vet Rose Bolan gave her a thorough examination and immediately felt that things were not right in her bladder, and advised an x-ray straight away...
